Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Executive Director (ED) and Chief Executive Officer, Lagos International Trade Fair Complex, Barr. Vera Ndanusa has revitalized the once abandoned prestigious annual Lagos International Trade Fair held once a year.
The last time the commercial capital of the country, Lagos, witnessed the global event was 14 years ago, a statement sent to our correspondent on Friday said.
Ndanusa who assumed office as the new ED of the complex ten months ago, surmounted challenges that mitigated the hosting of the annual commercial event that provides opportunity for affordable commodities and showcasing of new brands by manufacturers.
Set to hold in November 2024 at the Trade Fair Complex located at Badagry Expressway, Lagos, anxious exhibitors said the excitement is to once again showcase their products at the usual traditional arena that often hosts the event.
However, the statement informed that an official unveiling to flag-off the Fair is set for Tuesday August 27, 2024, at the Eko Hotels and Suits Lagos, with the State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the Special Guests of Honour.
Also to grace the occasion, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Mrs. Doris Nkiruka Uzoka-Anite will be on ground to unveil the Fair.
“The upcoming Fair represents the beginning of a remarkable journey towards the ongoing reforms to reposition the complex to its original status of an International Trade Fair center for all Africa and Nigeria in particular”, Ndanusa said.
