Ibadan- Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan on Wednesday earned their first victory in the 2014/2015 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season with a 2-0 win over Kwara United FC.
Goals from Kunle Olukokun in the 12th minute and Junior Ajayi in the 29th minute gave 3SC victory over the Ilorin side at the Adamasingba Stadium in Ibadan.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Olukokun scored the opening goal from Junior Ajayi’s pass.
Ajayi who plays for the Flying Eagles then extended the home side lead 17 minutes later.

Tunde Abdurahaman, the Technical Adviser of Kwara United FC, attributed 3SC’s victory to the fact that they utilised the chances they had in first half.
“The hosts played well and deserved the goals they scored in the first half of the game,” he said.
The coach also said the officiating of the game was fair, and went on to commend the League Management Committee (LMC) for organising a good game.
Speaking also, Ajayi said 3SC stood a good chance of winning the league on the strength of their improved performance.
“We are on course in the Premier League competition and there is a good chance of coming on top at last,” he said.(NAN)
