Sundiata Post – World record holder, Tobi Amusan on Friday scuttled her chance of automatic final qualification by finishing third in heat 1 of women’s 100m hurdles semi-final at the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympics.
Amusan, Team Nigeria’s flagbearer to this year’s Olympics, clocked 12.55 seconds to place third and would now have to hope she makes it as one of the best losers for a chance in the final.
She secured a semi-final spot on Wednesday, running a time of 12.49 seconds to beat USA’s Alaysha Johnson, who was second in 12.61s and Janeek Brown third in 12.84 seconds.
