NIGER (Sundiata Post) – Niger State Governor, Umaru Bago, has presented a ₦1.558 trillion budget estimate for the 2025 fiscal year to the Niger State House of Assembly.
This represents a 48.32% increase compared to the 2024 appropriation.
Tagged “Budget of Hope for Sustainability and Food Security,” the governor emphasized that the budget would prioritize investments in agriculture and infrastructure.
The total anticipated budget for 2025 is expected to be higher than the 2024 appropriation by 48.32%.
The budget breakdown reveals that ₦196.335 billion (13% of the budget size) will be allocated for recurrent expenditure, while a staggering ₦1.362 trillion (87% of the total budget size) will be dedicated to capital expenditure.
