Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Nigerian Army on Tuesday in Jos commenced the Inter Division Combat Platoon Orienting and Adventure Competition for seven of its formations. https://sundiatapost.com/army-goc-3-division-charges-officers-in-posting-to-remain-resilient/
The Flagg off of the Nigerian Army Inter Formations Orienteering and adventure championship held its opening ceremony at the 3 Division Nigerian Army Rukuba Barracks, Maxwell Cobe Cantonment.
It had in attendance the troops of Army Headquarters Garrison Abuja, 1 Division (Kaduna), 2 Division (Ibadan), 3 Division (Jos), 81 Division (Lagos), 82 Division (Enugu) and 6 Division (Port Harcourt) competing for a trophy.
The presence of Nigerian Army from different divisions across the country was believed to further strengthen the security architecture of the Country.
Speaking on behalf of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, the General Officer Commanding 3 Division Nigerian Army (GOC) Maj.-Gen. He said the COAS vision for the competition is to maintain an enduring dedication and resilience aimed at building on the tremendous achievement the Army has achieved over the years.
“I want to ensure that troops are well grounded in professionalism, engineering, sound administration and cooperation. This can only make sense when driven with innovative training.
“I’m therefore delighted that the department of training and the conceptualization of various innovations that will bring out the best in our troops in all the training schedules that will be conducted is made possible”, COAS said.
