Kano – Hundreds of people, including the Deputy Governor of Kano state Prof Hafizu Abubakar, attended the funeral prayer for the late Alhaji Inuwa Wada, a minister in the First Republic.
NAN reports that the prayer, which was led by the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi II, was conducted at the Emir’s Palace at around 4:30pm on Wednesday.
Other prominent personality that attended the prayer were the former Inspector General of police, Alhaji Ibrahim Coomassie and Galadima of a former President of the Court of Appeal Justice Mamman Nasir.

Wada died in the early hours of Wednesday after a protracted illness at the age 98.
The deceased was a member of the House of Representatives and served as minister of works and later minister of defence. (NAN).
