New Delhi – India and the United States on Thursday signed an MoU to enhance cooperation on energy security, clean energy and climate change, officials report said.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by India’s Power Secretary P.K. Pujari and U.S. Amb.Richard Verma.
The agreement included U.S.-India Energy smart Cities Partnership, Greening the Grid, Promoting Energy Access through Clean Energy
expansion, energy efficiency including space cooling, renewable energy, energy security, and accelerating innovation on clean energy.
The agreement was signed before Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be in Washington on an official visit next week. (Xinhua/NAN)
