KOSUBOSU (Kwara) – The Chairman of Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara, Malam Mohammed Omar-Bio, on Wednesday decried the high rate of absenteeism among officials of the council.
Omar-Bio, in a meeting with sectional heads of the council in Kosubosu, said workers in the council would henceforth be paid their salaries based on punctuality at work.
He said that the management would no longer condone absenteeism, lateness and other acts that were contrary to civil service rules. [eap_ad_2] According to him, anyone who does not meet a minimum of 20 days attendance at work will forfeit the month’s salary.
The council chief directed the heads of department to open attendance registers to monitor punctuality.
