Abuja – Mr Abdullahi Muku, Director-General of the National Gallery of Art says China, France, Czech Republic, and Qatar among others will participate in the 2017 Art of Friendship Exhibition in Nigeria.
Muku made this known in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Friday.
He said that the 2017 edition, which was the fourth in the series, would hold for three days from Jan. 17 to Jan.19.
According to Magu, diplomats, senior government officials, captains of industry, students and artistes are expected to be entertained during the friendship exhibition.
He explained that the programme was conceived as a complete cultural fiesta which provided the platform for display of rich array of art, music, documentaries and foods indigenous to the participating countries.
“The last edition had over 1,000 guests in attendance, this year, we expect to top that number,” Maku said.
NAN reports that the art of friendship exhibition is an annual programme of the National Gallery of Art, organised to celebrate the socio-cultural and economic ties between Nigeria and other countries.
