Abuja – The Nigerian Army has urged residents of the FCT not to panic as its personnel in the territory conduct their monthly route march on Friday.
According to a statement by Maj. Salisu Mustapha, the Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations at the garrison, the exercise will hold between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m.
He stated that the march would begin from the Aguiyi Ironsi Cantonment through Niger Barracks to Mambilla Barracks and back to Aguiyi Ironsi barracks.
He noted that “the march, which is mandatory for all personnel of the Nigerian Army serving in FCT, is aimed at testing the physical fitness and endurance of troops.”
He, therefore, urged resident of the territory and its environ not panic over troops’ movement, but continue with their legitimate activities.
