Washington – U.S. President Donald Trump’s top Economic Adviser Larry Kudlow was released on Wednesday from hospital after suffering a heart attack, the White House said.
Kudlow, 70, was released from a military hospital just outside Washington, spokesperson Sarah Sanders said.
He was admitted Monday as a precaution after suffering “a very mild heart attack’’ a day after accompanying Trump to the G7 summit in Canada.
“Doctors say Larry’s recovery is going very well.
“The president and the administration are happy Larry is back home and look forward to seeing him back to work soon,’’ Sanders said in a statement.
The former Goldman Sachs executive and television commentator suffered the heart attack after doing interviews on Sunday in which he backed up Trump’s statement which accused Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of dishonesty and saying Trudeau had stabbed the United States “in the back.’’
Peter Navarro, another Trump aide, who verbally attacked Trudeau on Sunday, apologised on Tuesday for saying there was a “special place in hell’’ for Trudeau in the wake of the rancorous summit. (dpa/NAN)
