Awe (Nasarawa State), – Mr Friday Uchena, Contractor handling Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) project in Manhaga Community of Awe Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, has assured the benefiting community of quality work.
Uchena made the commitment on Tuesday at the Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) primary school when a team from the state SDGs office visited the site to inspect the progress of work.
He said that by the special grace of God he would deliver high quality work that the community would enjoy for decades.
“I know that no project will last forever, but I will deliver a high quality work that will stand the test of time and that is in line with the contract specifications,” he said.
“I will not compromise the standard of work because I am a professional and I want my work to speak for me,” he said.
The contractor also noted that he would want to complete the projects within 13 weeks before the 18 weeks period that was required.
Mr Yusuf Isa, Head Master of the school, expressed gratitude to SDGs and the State Government for building four classrooms, a Headmaster’s office, staff room, toilet and a borehole in the school.
Isa also expressed satisfaction with the quality work and promised that the management of the school would guide and guard the projects.
The News Agency of Nigerian (NAN) reports that the team from the SDGs office was led by Ahmed Tsaku who expressed satisfaction with the level and quality of work so far done.
The team had also inspected the two kilometer solar powered streetlights in Awe.
