ENUGU – Hawkers of different wares and food vendors are making brisk business at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu, venue of the South- East Presidential Rally of the Peoples Democratic Party

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that at about 9 a.m. on Friday; Ogui Road and other adjourning streets leading to the venue were occupied by the traders.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
Items of trade include edibles, T-shirts, Face-cap, car stickers, campaign items, among others.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
Food vendors also hiked their prices, from N200, a plate to N250 and N300, depending on the type of[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″] food.
One of the food vendors, Mrs Evlyn Eke told NAN that she was happy for the rally as it created the opportunity for her to make more sales.
“I am happy that they are turning out to patronise us, and I know that today will be our day because many may not have eaten before leaving their houses.
“I have been regular in this kind of business, so, that is why I prepared assorted food stuffs to ensure that l attend to the request of my customers,’’ she said.
Another food vendor, Mrs Agnes Nwobodo, said that she was happy to be part of the people that were allowed to sell food during the rally.
“In fact, this rally gives me the opportunity to make money because all other eating spots around this venue were closed.
“With events like this, we cook twice to enable us satisfy many people before the end of the event,’’ she said. (NAN)
