ABUJA (SundiataPost) – After what looked like flattening the curve for two days, Lagos on Monday resumed spike in new cases of COVID-19 as Nigeria’s number of confirmed cases move towards 13,000.
According to update released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) late on Monday night, Lagos resumed lead in new infections with 128 new confirmed cases out of the 315 new infections reported by the NCDC. This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 infections in Nigeria to 12,801.
For two days previously namely Saturday and Sunday, the rate of new infections in Lagos had lowered raising excitement that Lagos had reached its peak and there was going to be reduction in infections henceforth.
