This is contained in a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja by Col. Aliyu Yusuf, Deputy Director of Army Public Relations.
The statement said the exercise would hold on Feb. 7 for officers and men serving in Abuja.
It said that the exercise would take place along Nyanya road-AYA-DSS Quarters roundabout – Kasco junction-Mogadishu Cantonment from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.
The release said the exercise that was mandatory for all personnel of the Nigerian Army serving in the FCT, was aimed at assessing the physical fitness of troops.
It said the exercise was also to establish the well being of troops at all times and equally determine their endurance capabilities.
The statement advised the public not to panic during troops’ movement around exercise areas and should go about their normal activities during the period of the exercise. (NAN)
