Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Presidential aspirant under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party in the forthcoming 2023 general election, Atiku Abubakar has reacted to the attack on Abuja to Kaduna bound train that reportedly left many injured and some kidnapped.
Atiku who condemned the attack reminded the government that their commitment to the protection of life and property of the people must remain sacrosanct. Adding that his thoughts and prayers are with all who are affected.
The former Vice President reiterated that there is no enemy, foreign or domestic that we cannot defeat as one people.
Atiku who disclosed this when he took to his Twitter handle tweeted thus:
“The attack on Abuja to Kaduna bound train that reportedly left many injured and some kidnapped is condemnable. The government’s commitment to the protection of the life and property of the people must remain sacrosanct.
“My thoughts and prayers are with all who are affected. As One People, there is no enemy, foreign or domestic, that we cannot defeat.”
Sundiata Post recalls that suspected bandit terrorists yesterday detonated bombs on the rail-track of Abuja-Kaduna train and successfully immobilised it.
The attack occurred at a point between Katari and Rijana.
According to official sources familiar with the train service, at least 970 passengers were onboard the train as at the time of the attack.
