IKORODU (LAGOS STATE) – Mr Omobolaji Oshinowo, a House of Representatives candidate of the Labour Party has urged youths to shun acts that could threaten the successful conduct of Saturday’s elections.
Oshinowo, who seeks to represent Ikorodu Division, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Lagos that it was important for the youth to conduct themselves in an orderly manner during the polls.

“We don’t need violence during the elections. Everybody should come out and perform their civic duties and go back to their homes in peace without any rancour, without any violence, without molestation by anybody or whatsoever.“[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
According to him, we should be seen to embrace youth groups that encourage peace or mobilise and support people to conduct themselves in non-violent manner.
He urged eligible voters to ensure that they cast their votes for credible candidates of their choice.
“We actually need good people to come out and represent us; so it is our votes that would put them there.
“And if we actually change and we want progress for ourselves in Nigeria; we should actually all come out and perform our civic duties and that is casting our votes for the candidate of our choice.“
