AWKA – The Speaker of the Anambra House of Assembly, Mrs Chinwe Nwaebili, has called on Nigerians to shun political leaning and unite in condemning the abduction of school girls in Chibok, Borno.
Nwaebili made the call in Awka on Tuesday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), saying there was no other time for Nigerians to speak as a nation than now when the girls were taken and kept in abeyance.
She called for the adequate funding of the security agencies and the provision of tools needed for their effective performance.
She also called for the deployment of security men to all schools in the country to checkmate the rate of violence against harmless children.
The speaker called on the people to give useful information to security agencies to secure the lives of the citizens.
She called on the security agencies involved in the search for the girls to be resolute, assuring them that they would be lifted in prayers till their efforts yielded results. (NAN)
