ABUJA – Frontkine presidential aspirant on the platform of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has condemned the murder of Deborah Yakubu by her classmates at the Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto.
Ms. Deborah Yakubu, a 200 level student of home economics, was stoned to death and her remains set ablaze by her classmates over what they described as “Blasphemy” against prophet Mohammed.
Atiku, a former vice president, said the killers of the undergraduate must be made to face justice for their action.
“There can not be a justification for such gruesome murder.
“Deborah Yakubu was murdered, and all those behind her death must be brought to justice. My condolences to her family and friends,” Atiku said on his verified twitter page on Thursday night.
Below is the loose paraphrasing of what led to the gruesome murder of late Ms. Deborah Yakubu:
“Holy Ghost fire, nothing will happen to us. the group is not created for sending nonsense things. It is created to send past questions, if there is test, or if we are given assignments not all these nonsense things. Which kind prophet, nonsense prophet.”
