Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has called out her colleague Eniola Badmus following a tense encounter at the premiere of Eniola Ajao’s film, Owambe Thieves.
The two actresses nearly clashed in a dramatic scene that played out at the event. A viral video captured the moment Laide approached Eniola with harsh words, while Eniola chose not to respond and walked away.
On Monday, Laide took to Instagram to reveal a private message Eniola had sent her, where Eniola scolded her for sharing a photo of them together online. In the message, Eniola warned Laide to steer clear of her and criticised her for displaying what she described as “terrible animalistic behaviour.”
Firing back, Laide shared her version of events and accused Eniola of being ungrateful.
She recalled helping Eniola early in her career when others allegedly turned their backs on her because of her appearance.
She went on to claim she had invested her own money to support Eniola, only to receive disrespect in return.
She wrote, “I gave you, first major role in your life when. No one wants to Associate with you because of your ugly looks and obesity. Spent my own hard earned money on an ingrate like you, All you could pay me back with is to call me Animal? Haaa! ENIOLA! Almighty God will judge you insha Allah You have started what you can finish and I promise you, you must collect.”
The fallout between the once-close friends has sparked a wave of reactions on social media, with fans weighing in on both sides of the conflict.
