ABUJA – The Barewa Old Boys Association (BOBA), Zaria, has congratulated one of its members, Malam Lawal Ado Daura, on his appointment as the Editor-in-Chief (EIC) of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
This is contained in a statement signed by the Association’s Secretary-General, Mr Ahmed Tijani-Mora, and made available to NAN on Monday in Abuja.

It said the news of Ado’s appointment as EIC did not come as a surprise to the Association, saying that his sound training in journalism and professionalism in the career made him an asset.
It said Ado’s loyalty to constituted authorities amongst other noble qualities, must have informed the decision of the agency on his appointment.
“On behalf of Dr Umar Abdulmutallab, President of BOBA, members of the Board of Trustees, Patrons, the National Executive Secretary, and general membership, we rejoice with you on this appointment.
“I wish to further join your family, members, friends and associations in the prayers of Almighty Allah (SWT) to guide you in the discharge of your new responsibilities,’’ the statement added. (NAN)
