SOKOTO – Prof. Musa Maitarshir, Chairman, Sokoto State Universal Primary Education Board, on Sunday, said the state government would provide enough modern infrastructure in public primary schools for quality education.
In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Sokoto, Maitarshir said the board had also proved the government’s commitment by providing seats in some primary schools in the state.
According to him, the board has released 400 seats to Gidan- Dare Primary School in Sokoto North Local Government Area of the state to avoid sitting on the floor by the pupils to receive lessons.
The chairman said the board had taken measures to provide learning materials to be distributed to all pupils in the primary schools across the state.
He therefore, urged the teachers to redouble their efforts towards providing sound education, noting that government had planned to design teachers’ refresher courses on modern techniques of teaching.
He called on parents to complement the efforts of the government by sending their children to school. (NAN)
