ALZERBAIJANI-BAKU – French President Francois Hollande said on Monday that he would be hosting an African summit in Paris next week to include Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon, Niger Republic and Benin Republic.
Hollande said during a visit to Alzerbaijani (Baku) that the focus would be on the kidnap of more than 270 Nigerian school girls in Chibok, Borno State.
He said that the final date of the summit would depend on agreement by the participants.
The kidnappings have provoked international outrage.
US President Barack Obama has sent help in the form of military officials, investigators and forensic experts in the hope of finding the girls.
Britain, France and Israel are also participating in the support action. (dpa/NAN)
