The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has refuted claims circulating on social media regarding the withdrawal of licenses from Unity Bank and Keystone Bank.
A misleading circular purportedly from the CBN advised customers to urgently withdraw funds via ATM or transfer to other banks.
However, the CBN clarified via its official communication channels that the circular was fake and aimed at deceiving the public.
They emphasized that no such action had been taken by the CBN.
CBN Posted “This is intended to mislead the general public. It has nothing to do with the Central Bank of Nigeria. Please be guided.”
