Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Federal Capital Territory Tuesday led the COVID-19 table with 416 infections as Nigeria recorded 999 new cases of the novel virus, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has said.
The NCDC in its report released via twitter handle said Lagos State came second with 324 while Kaduna and Plateau came third and fourth with 68 and 42 infections respectively.
Others are; Kwara-32, Kano-24, Gombe-14,
Sokoto and Yobe-12 each, Akwa Ibom-11, Bayelsa-10, Rivers and Bauchi-7 each, Ogun-6, Oyo-5, Edo and Taraba-4 each and Jigawa-1.
According to the health agency, the total confirmed cases have risen to 79,789 out of which 68,879 have been discharged.
The health agency further informed that
1,231 deaths have been recorded since the index case was reported in February 27.
