COVID-19: FCT tops table with 416 infections as Nigeria records 999 new cases – NCDC

Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Federal Capital Territory Tuesday led the COVID-19 table with 416 infections as Nigeria recorded 999 new cases of the novel virus, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has said.

The NCDC in its report released via handle said State came second with 324 while Kaduna and Plateau came third and fourth with 68 and 42 infections respectively.

Others are; -32, Kano-24, Gombe-14,
Sokoto and Yobe-12 each, Akwa -11, Bayelsa-10, Rivers and Bauchi-7 each, -6, Oyo-5, Edo and Taraba-4 each and Jigawa-1.

According the health agency, the total confirmed cases have risen 79,789 of which 68,879 have been discharged.

The health agency further informed
1,231 deaths have been recorded since the index case was in February 27.
