Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Lagos State – the epicentre of the novel virus in the country accounted for 144 infections as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control confirmed 397 new cases of #COVID-19.
According to the report released via it’s twitter handle account, the NCDC said the other eighteen states where the infections were reported are;

Rivers-22
Oyo-16
Kebbi-10
Nasarawa-7
Sokoto-7
FCT-5
Kano-5
Edo-4
Jigawa-3
Ogun-2
Akwa Ibom-2
Niger-1
Bauchi-1
Zamfara-1.
The NCDC further noted that a total of 84,811 confirmed cases have been recorded in Nigeria since the index case was reported in February while a total of 71,357 patients have been treated and discharged since the outbreak of the pandemic.
The health agency added that 1,264 lives had been lost to COVID-19 related ailments in Nigeria.
