Brinin Kebbi – The Minister of Interior, Alhaji Abdulrahaman Dambazau, on Monday led a Federal Government delegation to sympathise with the people and government of Kebbi state over the fire incident that engulfed Birnin Kebbi central market on Saturday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Dambazau was accompanied by heads of federal ministries, departments and agencies located in the state during the visit.
The minister told Gov. Atiku Bagudu that the federal government delegation was to express the concern of President Mumammadu Buhari on behalf of the federal government over the inferno.
He prayed that the incident would not happen again and expressed gratitute to God that no life was lost in the inferno, stressing that Allah gives and takes away property and wealth at His will.
Dambazau assured that the federal government would improve the performances of state fire service departments to forestall future disasters especially modern facilities to battle fire outbreaks.
Responding, Bagudu commended Buhari for his concern and despatch of a delegation to sympathise with the state and victims of the inferno.
NAN reports that 90 per cent of shops in the Market were lost to the inferno. (NAN)
