Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has unveiled a contributory pension scheme for the people.
The governor, at the unveiling ceremony in Yola, the state capital yesterday, described the unveiling of the health scheme as marking a major milestone towards achieving universal health coverage for the people.
He said the scheme is his administration’s strategic commitment to ensuring all residents of Adamawa State have access to needed promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative health services.
According to him, the scheme is designed to offer health services with sufficient quality and equitable delivery without subjecting the people to financial hardship.
He said the Governing Board of the Adamawa State Contributory Health Management Agency will provide strategic leadership to ensure that all residents of the state are enrolled under the health insurance scheme.
