The State Sector Commander, Mr Garba Ibrahim, gave the warning at the 2014 West Africa Road Safety Week in Kano.
He said that good driving ethics and following of road rules and regulations would reduce carnage on the roads.
“We are glad to see that the various enlightenment exercises we have been carrying out at various times and occasion have paid off.
“The corps will not achieve much without the express support of the public because we rely on each other for safety,” he said.
Ibrahim added that each individual driver of a vehicle or motorcycle had a role to play in reducing carnage on the road.
The event was carried out in parks across the seven district offices of Kano sector. (NAN)
