KATSINA – The Jaiz Charity Foundation, a charity organisation, on Thursday said it had donated food items and clothing materials to victims of recent attacks in Faskari and Sabuwa Local Government Areas of Katsina State.
Some gunmen had in April attacked communities in the two Local Government Areas.
The Chairman, Board of Trustees of the foundation, Alhaji Garba Abubakar, said the donation was aimed at assisting the families of the deceased and those displaced.
He said the materials donated include 300 bags of rice, maize and millet, 330 jerry cans of vegetable oil and 660 pieces of clothing materials.

Abubakar said the foundation had so far donated materials in six states, where residents were facing similar challenges.
The states, he said, are Adamawa, Borno, Taraba, Plateau, Zamfara and Katsina, adding that the foundation would soon move to Kaduna, Yobe, Benue and Nassarawa.
Receiving the items on behalf of the state government, the Deputy Gov. Alhaji Abdullahi Faskari, commended the foundation for the gesture.
