Abuja (Sundiata Post) — The Jumat Prayer holding inside the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, on Friday, saw the meeting of top government officials, including the quartet of the President, Muhammadu Buhari; Senate President, Abubakar Bukola Saraki; the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu; and the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Col. Hameed Ali (retd.).
Also present at the prayer were: the duo of the Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari; and the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Lawal Daura.
After the service, Saraki walked pass the Press Gallery to meet briefly with the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, in his office.
He was walking a few metres behind Magu, who also took the same route out of the premises.
It would be recalled that Magu has been having running battles with the Senate lately.
Magu’s nomination was rejected twice by the Senate based on security report authored by the DSS.
Ali had also dragged the Senate to court over the insistence of the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly that he must appear before them in uniform.
None of the officials, however, spoke with the State House correspondents at the end of the prayer.
