ABUJA (Sundiata Post) – Controversial American rapper Kanye West has accused Taylor Swift of being the reason he wasn’t chosen to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show.
In a post on X, Kanye also suggested that another reason for his exclusion from the Super Bowl halftime show was his support for former President Donald Trump, specifically referencing his wearing of the “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) hat.
In a now-deleted post, the 47-year-old explained that his altercation with Taylor Swift was one of the three reasons he was not chosen to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show.
He wrote, “I never was allowed to do the Super Bowl because of three moments. George Bush doesn’t care about Black people. The Taylor Swift movement moment. And wearing a MAGA hat.”
Kanye was seemingly referencing his infamous 2009 clash with Taylor Swift, when he interrupted her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards to shout out Beyoncé.
