Sundiata Post – German Bundesliga champion, Bayer Leverkusen has placed a £47m price tag on Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface, who’s on the shopping wish list of Manchester United.

According to Man United Addicts on X app (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, the Red Devils asked for information on the 23-year-old Nigerian who is a creative technical centre forward.

But Bayer Leverkusen is not keen to lose its most prized asset too soon, as it has quoted £47million for the Akure-born talisman.

The Nigerian had a fantastic start in his debut season in the German Bundesliga, with 31 goal involvements in 34 games, winning two trophies and was named the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month four consecutive times between August and November 2023.

With 14 goals, Boniface was the highest goal scorer in Bayer Leverkusen’s unbeaten run, as he was named the Best Rookie of the 2023/24 season.

Boniface defeated Xavi Simons of RB Leipzig, Ian Maatsen of Borussia Dortmund, and Maximilian Beier of TSG Hoffenheim to win the gong, recognising the best-performing young talent in the league.
