ABUJA (Sundiata Post) – Popular comedian Mr Macaroni has responded to fellow comic Seyi Law, dismissing claims that their strained relationship stems from political differences, particularly the latter’s support for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Taking to X on Friday, Mr Macaroni stated that Seyi’s conduct during and after the 2023 elections was the real issue, not his political stance.
“Booda Seyi, pls stop this dance of shame!” Macaroni wrote.
“You putting up this video suggesting that I have issues with you because of your political affiliation is mischievous. I have nothing against you because you supported APC!”
He clarified that he still maintains cordial ties with many APC supporters, but made it clear that Seyi Law is an exception due to his “uncivilised behaviour.”
“I still maintain respectful relationships with several people who supported APC till now. Yours is an exception because of your uncivilized behavior during and after the elections. And this is an example.”
Macaroni also accused Seyi Law of consistently pushing a false narrative to make him look like an ingrate, alleging that the recent video was just another attempt to stir unnecessary drama, possibly to promote an upcoming event.
“You have tried to paint me as an ingrate severally and I always looked away because I did not want to disrespect you.
“But when you start telling lies against me and try to label me the liar, that’s where I draw the line.”
Addressing a specific claim made by Seyi Law, Mr Macaroni stressed that it was Seyi who initiated a previous collaboration, not the other way around.
“I never in my life asked Tolu (Your Cousin) to beg you to collaborate with me.. You reached out yourself, shared an idea and we executed it together.
“I appreciated it then and I still appreciate it now. What I don’t appreciate is you creating a false agenda to either sell your show or invite your APC Trolls to attack me (Even tho I’m used to their attacks). You know the truth and I do too. Please do better! This will be the last I will speak on this matter. Shalom.”
The online exchange has sparked a wave of reactions, with fans weighing in on the fallout between the two entertainers.
