Lagos- The Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce (NACC) said on Tuesday it had scheduled a retreat to improve bilateral trade relations between Nigeria and America.
The Executive Secretary of NACC, Mr Ojo Olanipekun, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that the initiative, scheduled for Dec. 4, would address recent developments between the two countries.
He said that the retreat, tagged “Repositioning the NACC for Optimal Service Delivery”, would discuss the nation’s economic resurgence in the past four years.
Olanipekun said the retreat was organised to fashion out how to develop closer working collaborations by the governments of both countries.
He said Nigeria’s successful power sector privatisation and the various reforms in the agriculture, automotive, small and medium enterprises, creative and entertainment industries had made it an investment destination.
He urged Nigerian entrepreneurs to leverage on the interests of foreign investors to acquire mutually beneficial international business partnerships.
NAN reports that the retreat, which will be facilitated by Mr Julius Adelusi-Adeluyi, former Minister of Health and former President of NACC, will hold in Lagos. (NAN)
