Kaduna – Two parallel leadership have emerged after the election of new officials of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Kaduna State.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the workers held two separate congresses on Thursday in Kaduna in which each faction elected its leaders.
Incumbent NLC state Chairman, Adamu Ango, was re-elected in the election conducted at Gamji Park in Kaduna, during which 1, 500 delegates participated.
Ango’s faction is backed by the NLC President, Comrade Ayuba Waba.
Also elected were James Friday as Vice Chairman 1, Bulus Chiroma, Vice Chairman 2, and Emmanuel Wudiri as Treasurer.

The rest are Shehu Salihu and Abdullahi Oshiame as Auditor 1 and 2, while Zainab Umar and Ladi Musa were elected ex-officio members.
In a separate election by the Comrade Joe Ajaero faction of the NLC, conducted at the Textile Labour House, Kaduna, Ephriam James was elected state NLC chairman.
Also elected are Shuaibu Sani and Danladi Yahya as Vice Chairman 1 and 2 respectively.
Others are Adamu Danladi, Treasurer; Collins Bulus, Internal Auditor 1; Achison Shekarau, Internal Auditor 2 and Mbat Jocab, ex-officio.
NAN gathered that 200 delegate from 24 affiliate labour bodies took part in the election. (NAN)
