Dutse, – The Jigawa Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on Wednesday said it had recorded 469 cases in the state between January and June, 2015.
The state Command of the corps, Malam Muhammad Gidado, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Dutse.
Gidado said the cases included 157 criminal cases and 312 civil.
The Commandant said the civil cases included; 87 family disputes; 58 debt recovery; 39 commercial disputes; 27 communal disputes; 49 land disputes and 52 tenancy disputes.
According to him, 71 out of the total number of cases were prosecuted, while 67 were convicted.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”70560″]
Gidado also said that 7 of the cases were transferred, while 11 were pending.
He said that 154 suspects were involved in all the cases.
He attributed the success recorded during the period under review to “the will of Allah, commitment of my officers and men, and the cooperation of the people of the state’’. (NAN)
