Ogun communities task govt on roads

IJEBU-ODE – Two communities in Ijebu North-East Local Area   Ogun Thursday called the to rehabilitate roads in the area to   socio-economic .
The affected communities are Imowo Igboya and Oru-Ijebu.
Some residents the communities  made the appeal in separate interviews with the News Agency Nigeria (NAN) in Ijebu-Ode.
A resident   Imowo Igboya,  Mr Sola Fatuga, told NAN that the state the roads in the area was affecting lives.
Fatuga said successive administrations have neglected the community.
“Efforts to contact the relevant authorities the subject have been exhausted and so far futile,” he said.
A commuter, Mr Yemi Adeyinka, said the deplorable state of the roads was making the area inaccessble.
Mr Yetunde Ishola, a trader, also called the to expedite action in alleviating sufferings by repairing the roads.
Similarly, residents of Oru-Ijebu have called on the local council and to provide them with amenities.
A resident, Mr Segun Olukoya, said electricity was affecting socio-economic lives.
Another resident, Mr Taiwo Oyebanji, attributed the electricity problem to “overloaded and worn transformer’’.
“The transformer we have here is older most people remember and indications we have  is that the capacity is too small compared to the number of houses in the area ,” Oyebanji said.
