OGBOMOSO – Chief Jumoke Akinjide, the Minister of State for the FCT, is expected to grace the launching of the N500 million office complex of the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) of Schools and Colleges, Oyo State chapter.
Also expected at the forum, which would mark the maiden edition of the NASU Day, is a PDP chieftain, Mr Seyi Makinde,
Mr Samuel Olaleye, the Chairman of the union in the state, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday that the office complex was imperative given the over 4, 000 members in the state.
He stated that the union would also use the forum billed for Thursday in Ibadan to give out some items to empower its members.
The chairman said items to be distributed under its social security scheme were 54 motorcycles, 47 deep freezers and 25 power generating sets, 500 bundles of iron sheets, four photocopiers and 10 laptop computers.
He further said that the union had in recent times witnessed tremendous achievements in assets acquisition.
” We have also ensured that our workers benefit from various programmes and services such as loans, ” he said. (NAN)
