Our correspondent reports that the meeting was scheduled to discuss the level of preparedness for the Local Government polls.
However, PLASIEC told our reporter that the meeting became imperative as the State was just coming out of an incessant crisis and would not allow bandits take advantage of the elections to garner trouble.
He said the state government has put efforts to ensure that the peace Plateau is currently enjoying will not be truncated as a result of the local government elections.

Also, he told our correspondent that the Commission has trained the required ad-hoc staff for the elections.
“We have trained the requisite number of ad-hoc staff for the election and we have also mobilized the transport owners for logistics. As far as PLASIEC is concerned, we are prepared.”
