ABUJA (Sundiata Post) – Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has issued a warning to informants about kidnappers, bandits, and criminals operating in the area: change your ways or risk dying at the hands of security personnel.
According to Newsmen, at a town hall security meeting on Saturday, held in the territory’s Kuje Area Council, Wike issued the warning.
Additionally, he exhorted local council members to fulfill their responsibility of supplying pertinent data that would support security organizations.
We will take on insecurity head-on. It’s your time, criminals and bandits. I am aware that some criminal informants are present and listening to me; if you are an informant, you will perish in the same manner as the people you are providing information to.
“Today is your chance to turn from your sins, or else you will disappear. No one will feel sorry for you. You’ve witnessed the actions of the security agencies over the last several days.
That’s to let you know that business isn’t as hectic as usual. Recognize that we are prepared for you. I instructed the Chairman to ensure that the watchdog groups are given authority, and we need to do it effectively.
Security agencies need to be aware of them and have to profile them. And please share information with us, residents. You have to cooperate with the security services and feed them data,” he continued.
