The Rivers state chapter of the Judiciary Staff of Nigeria, JUSUN, has been directed by the National Executive Council of the Union to resume work, tomorrow, Monday 2nd February, 2015.
The Rivers State Chapter of JUSUN had been on an indefinite strike for the past eight months on issues bordering on victimization and insecurity of its members.

The National Secretary of JUSUN, Mr.Kayode Igbarago at a media briefing in Port Harcourt said the decision to call off the strike was reached after the National Executive Council of JUSUN considered the negative impact of the strike on lawyers and litigants in Rivers state.
Igbarago commended the efforts of the Senator Cyrus Nunieh-led mediatory committee, the National Leadership of JUSUN also commended the Rivers State government, the Nigerian Bar Association and other stakeholders in all efforts to ensure that the courts were reopened.
