ZURU (Kebbi State) – The Kebbi State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), on Tuesday provided relief materials to the victims of tanker explosion in Zuru Local Government Area of Kebbi.
The Executive Director of the agency, Alhaji Yahayya Chindo, made the distribution to victims in Zuru.
The items distributed included 120 bundles of zinc, 24 bags of Rice and other assorted grains, as well as 50 bundles of textile materials, 50 mattresses and 50 blankets.

The Head of Dabai Chiefdom, Alhaji Isah Sani, who received the items, thanked the Kebbi government for the gesture and assured that the items would be equitably distributed to the victims.
He urged the motorists, especially haulage vehicles to be more careful while driving.
It would be recalled that a fully loaded petrol tanker on Saturday exploded at Dabai in Kebbi, killing five people and injuring six others.
The accident also left 12 houses and some vehicles parked by the roadside destroyed by the resultant inferno.
