Abuja (Sundiata Post) – President of the 10th Senate, Godswill Akpabio has arrived Abuja with his delegation after the Inter-Parliamentary (IPU) meeting in Geneva, Switzerland.
Sundiata Post recalls that Akpabio was accompanied by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Benjamin Kalu and Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong for the meeting that took place at the International Conference Centre of Geneva, (ICCG) Switzerland from Saturday, 23rd to 27th of March, 2024.
The Senate president arrived the Nnamdi Azikiwe Abuja International Airport at exactly 6: 05pm, Nigerian time.
Senate President said that from the engagement in IPU, Nigeria will gain parliamentary co-operation adding that the image of Nigeria has improved dramatically.
According to Akpabio, a lot of bilateral discussions with other parliamentarians in Africa and across the globe took place which will bring co-operation in diverse ways.
The Senate President said his statement on Gaza triggered a lot of reactions. He stated that after his call for hostilities in Gaza, everything happening on both parts now are tinting towards ceasing of hostilities.
