KANO (SUNDIATA POST)- The Barau I Jibrin Foundation (BIJF), established by the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator (Dr) Barau I Jibrin, CON, has released the list of first batch of its 2024 foreign postgraduate scholarships in
artificial intelligence, robotics technology, cybersecurity and forensic science.
Senator Barau, who is the First Deputy Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, established the foundation to provide humanitarian, educational and empowerment initiatives in the country.
The Special Adviser to Senator Barau on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, said the foundation has secured admissions for the deserving students from the three Senatorial Districts of Kano State (Kano Central, Kano North and Kano South Senatorial Districts) to pursue Postgraduate Programmes abroad.
He said the scholarship programme was conceived as part of the Deputy President of the Senate efforts to promote academic excellence and stimulate the country’s technological advancement.
” The scholarship program is limited to artificial intelligence, robotics technology, cybersecurity and forensic science in line with the Deputy President of the Senate’s goal to contribute to addressing the shortage of experts in these specialised fields, ” he said.
He said admission letters will be distributed to the beneficiaries on Monday, September 9th, 2024 at the Amani Event Centre, Kano State.
