Professor Chidi Odinkalu has taken a swipe at President Muhammadu Buhari and the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the ongoing strike in Nigeria while the duo receive world class medical care in London.
Taking to his Twitter handle on Friday, Professor Odinkalu called them ‘London Hospitals Alumni Association’.
Odinkalu, a former Chairman of Nigeria’s National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), wondered how in Nigeria, resident doctors are on strike and unpaid while in London, Buhari and Tinubu “are having a re-union.”

He tweeted:
“In #Nigeria, doctors in @nard_nigeria are on strike & unpaid. In London, the London Hospitals Alumni Association, #LHAA, are having a re-union. Only owners of private jets are invited!”

President Buhari, it could be recalled, is on medical tourism in the United Kingdom for his regular check-ups, While Tinubu recently also underwent surgery.
The former is the current president of Nigeria while the latter is aspiring to become the president of Nigeria in 2023.
