Abuja (Sundiata Post) – President Bola Tinubu on Friday approved the appointment of the President of the Nigerian Association of Women Entrepreneur (NAWE), Chief Barr. Vera Safiya Ndanusa, as the Director General (DG), Lagos International Trade Fair.https://sundiatapost.com/again-tinubu-appoints-new-ceos-for-itf-nipc-son-cac-10-others/

A statement released on Friday by the President’s Special Adviser on Media & Publicity, Mr. Ajuri Ngelale, indicated that Tinubu made the appointment based on his resolve to reposition the country’s economic sector under the Ministry of Trade and Investment.

Before Ndanusa’s appointment she was the National President of the Nigerian Association of Women Entrepreneur.

She holds an LLB Law from the University of Abuja, and BL from the Nigeria Law School. 

She is a Fellow Certified Board of Administrators of Nigeria Fellow Institute of Manpower and Management Development (ILMMD) and A certified Arbitrator and a member Federation of International Female Lawyers (FIDA) in Nigeria.

She is a Nigerian woman whose prowess in legal advocacy, entrepreneurship and human empowerment has distinguished her as a leading voice in woman entrepreneurship in Nigeria, with over 20 years of working experience in both government and the private sector. 

She has played a key role in supporting women and girls, gender mainstreaming and program development including design and implementation of activities and projects related to national policies for the development of women entrepreneurs across Nigeria.

As the current NAWE President, Her astuteness, commitment, diligence and excellent innovative leadership style has transformed the organization from its old shadows into limelight within a space of two years. 

The organization now breeds high efficiency and has helped in extricating more Nigerian women from poverty and has encouraged active participation among members.

A philanthropist of repute whose quest to provide for the needy engendered her to establish “Marayu Widow and Orphans Association” an NGO whose goal include the provision and defending of widows, orphans and less privilege in the society. 

A formidable partner of the Human Rights Association.

As a Nigerian woman who understands the delicate role Nigerian women play in the family- setting, she embraces the needs of widows and orphans through her non-governmental organization.
