Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu has recently caused a stir with his claim that a significant number of Nigerian celebrities are involved in drug use.
Maduagwu, known for his outspoken nature, made the statement on his Instagram account following a recent incident where he was found unconscious in a Lagos hotel.
The actor, who has now recovered from the incident, took to social media to express his gratitude to his friends, family, and fans for their concern and support. In his post, he also took the opportunity to address a more significant issue plaguing the entertainment industry in Nigeria—drug abuse.
Maduagwu’s statement read, “Thanks to all my friends, family, and fans worldwide who checked up on me. I’m OK now. I just want to advise #Naija Youth to say no to drugs and live right. 95% of Naija celebs are into this, but I’ve decided to join @ndlea_nigeria to fight against this worrisome trend. Join me in saying no to drugs in Nigeria.”
