ABUJA- Popular on-air personality and broadcaster James Expensive, popularly known as “e to the x to the p general bad man”, has been honoured with a Peace and Advocacy award for his relentless commitment to peace building and humanitarianism in Nigeria.
Expensive, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Help-One Foundation, disclosed this at an event organised by the Peace Ambassadors Advocacy Network Nigeria (PAAN) in commemoration of the 2024 International World Peace Day on Saturday in Abuja .
“Today’s occasion is the peace ambassadorship award, an event held to recognise individuals who have made meaningful contributions to ensuring peace building and unity in Nigeria.
“This award has encouraged me to do more and to go beyond where I am today.
“So I am happy to receive the award today as one of the role models of empathy, cooperation, peace, dialogue, and mutual understanding, among others,” he said.
He urged Nigerians to love one another irrespective of their ethnic and religious differences.
According to him, there cannot be peace without love.
“My foundation has been in existence since 2013 and I have lost count of things we have achieved.
“Widows have been empowered and currently we are empowering young people with skills that have to do with solar panels installation and inverter repairs.
“In the next two weeks at least 50 people will be learning solar installation, inverter and battery repairs.
“At the same time they will be trained on business management to enable them to run their own individual companies effectively.
“Help-One Foundation will help them set up and also see to their CAC registrations,” he added.
Highlights of the event was the unveiling of peace ambassadors, diplomatic business network, and magazine launch, among other things. (NAN)
